Tactical Side Mount is the only option for mounting Night Probe or Night Probe Mini in front of a tactical scope which has a hood of non-cylindrical shape prohibiting mounting the attachment with a standard Clip-on Adaptor.
Installing a Clip-on attachment with this kit is only possible when you have enough Picatinny rail length in front of your daytime scope.
The most common example of this set-up is an AR-platform or a bolt-action rifle with a longer Picatinny rail in front of the daytime tactical scopes.
